Description
Exclusive! After 20 years of unavailibilty on the spare parts market, Classic Line provide you now these crankshaft position sensors fitting the following models:
– Porsche 924 Turbo series 2 (from 08/80). EU cars: 177hp engine code M31/03
& US cars : 156hp engine code M31/04
– Porsche 924 Carrera GT 210ch engine code M31/50.
This cranskhaft sensor (also called flywheel sensor, or sometimes reference sensor) provides an information on crankshaft position and speed, to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) of type DZV made by Siemens. A faulty crank sensor implies ignition issues which can be characterized by an irregular idling, an engine stalling or an impossibility to start the engine.
The faulty sensor can be measured trought an electric discontinuity between different pins connectors. A sensor fitted since decades on an engine can also be welded in the clutch bellhousing due to the aluminium oxydation. Hence, its extraction can sometimes be impossible without damaging the sensor. Finally, in some cases, an improper fitment can cause a collision damage beteen the target and the sensor head, which can kill the sensor.
We can also make the air manifold temperature sensor on request:
